Prenatal Yoga

About

The path of pregnancy and motherhood is full of opportunities to transform a woman's life. Living a pregnancy in a more conscious, cheerful and respectful way contributes to bring fuller human beings to the world. In the certification of prenatal yoga, you will be able to teach the methodology of yoga to women in the process of gestation, and you will be able to help them to awaken and connect with their feminine wisdom and their needs as mothers. The certification has a duration of 85 hours, has the endorsement of the International Association of Yoga & Yoghismo and Yoga Alliance. It is designed multilevel and can assist students with and without experience in Yoga.

Program

Workshop 1 “The accompaniment of yoga in pregnancy”
1. Contributions of yoga to the pregnancy process.
2. Philosophical view of yoga and application during pregnancy.
3. The role of the prenatal yoga instructor.
4. Physical and emotional transformation during pregnancy.
5. Reencounter with the body and its signals.
6. Experience of construction, permanence and exit in the ãsana.
7. Movement during pregnancy.
8. Holistic vision in pregnancy and birth.
9. Risk pregnancy, abortion, premature birth, cesarean section, hypertension, pre-eclampsia.
Workshop 2 “Conscious conception”
1. The physical and emotional body during the first trimester.
2. Proprioception in the practice of yoga to a way to trust and empathy.
3. Exploration and practice of āsanas with emphasis on torsions.
4. Relaxation techniques.
5. Nutrition for two.
6. Sound and vibration for the development of perception.
Workshop 3 “The joy of creating and gestating”
1. Yoga for times of change.
2. Breathing techniques during pregnancy.
3. Emotional aspect during the second trimester of pregnancy.
4. Exploration and practice of ãsana of balance, strength and flexibility.
5. Use of supports for a safe practice.
6. Yoga in couple.
Workshop 4 “Opening to life”
1. The physical and emotional body during the third trimester.
2. The pelvis revealing its secrets.
3. Expanding your strengths: chest and pelvis.
4. Asana exploration and practice: openings, push-ups and extensions.
Workshop 5 “The magic of birth”
1. Development of childbirth and birth.
2. Yoga as physical and mental preparation for childbirth.
3. Myths and realities about childbirth.
4. The role of the companion in this stage.
5. Techniques for living a conscious birth.
6. Exploration and practice of asana for rhythm during childbirth.
Workshop 6 “Sharing your wealth”
1. Yoga after birth.
2. The physical and emotional body after birth.
3. Healthy and effective recovery of abdominal tone and pelvic floor.
4. Incorporation of the baby in the practice of yoga.
5. Structure of a class and creation of prenatal and postnatal yoga sequences.
